On June 18, Sunresin will open the doors of its new European site in Uppsala, Sweden, marking an important milestone in the company’s Life Sciences growth strategy.
Sunresin will celebrate the grand opening of its new European site in Uppsala, Sweden, on June 18, with an exclusive one-day event for selected customers, partners and industry guests.
The new site represents a significant step in Sunresin’s expansion in Europe and strengthens the company’s commitment to staying closer to customers working across bioprocessing, chromatography and Life Sciences applications.
Located in one of Europe’s most active Life Sciences ecosystems, the Uppsala site has been established to support scientific collaboration, application development and resin innovation. The city brings together deep experience in large scale chromatography, strong academic knowledge and a community where industry and research naturally connect. For Sunresin, this makes Uppsala the right place to build the next chapter of its European presence.
The Grand Opening event will bring together a limited group of guests for a full day of scientific exchange and personal connection. The program will include scientific talks from respected voices in the industry, with a focus on the future of agarose resins, protein purification and bioprocessing.
Guests will also have the opportunity to visit the new facilities, meet the Sunresin team and take part in conversations around current purification challenges and future development needs.
The day will also include a guided walk through Uppsala, taking place just before the longest day of the year, when the city enjoys almost 19 hours of daylight. The event will close with a gala dinner in one of Uppsala’s most special venues, creating a relaxed setting to continue the conversations started during the day.

The Uppsala site is designed to bring Sunresin closer to customers and partners in Europe. Its purpose is not only to create a physical presence in the region, but to support faster collaboration, stronger technical exchange and more practical application development.
As Hans Johansson, General Manager of Sunresin Sweden, explained in the company’s recent “Talking with Hans” series, Uppsala was selected for clear reasons: its scientific heritage, its experience in large scale chromatography, and its strong position within the European Life Sciences community.
The new site will focus on resin development, application support and technical collaboration, helping customers address real process challenges in biomolecule purification.
The opening of the Uppsala site reflects Sunresin’s wider investment in Life Sciences and its ambition to support customers with high performance resin technologies at global scale. With more than 1,400 employees worldwide, five highly automated production plants and a growing international footprint across Asia, Europe and the Americas, Sunresin continues to strengthen its role as a partner for purification, separation and synthesis technologies.
The new European site adds an important layer to this global network, connecting Sunresin’s manufacturing strength and resin development capabilities with the needs of customers in Europe.
June 18 will be more than an opening day. It will be a moment to share what Sunresin has been building, welcome customers and partners into the new space, and begin a new phase of collaboration from Uppsala.
Places for the event are limited, and only a few seats remain. If you would like to join us in Uppsala, you can request your place through the registration form below.
