Seplife® EMC1120

  • Seplife® EMC1120 is a macroporous adsorbent material composed of polypropylene, characterized by an irregular appearance. It features a particle size distribution ranging from 300 to 2300 microns. This resin exhibits a high level of hydrophobicity along with a porous structure and high surface area, making it particularly suitable for enzyme immobilization.
    The combination of high hydrophobicity and uniform pore structure facilitates the rapid adsorption of enzymes onto the support while preserving their catalytic activity.
    The polypropylene used in this material offers excellent chemical stability, mechanical strength, and resistance to high and low temperatures, making it suitable for most biocatalytic environments. Additionally, the resin's robust mechanical properties allow for its application in either stirred tank or bed reactors.

Precautions

  1. Resins should be stored in sealed containers or bags where temperature was 2-30℃ in dry conditions without exposure to direct sunlight.
  2. Do not mix ion exchange resin and adsorbent with strong oxidizing agents; otherwise it will cause violent reactions. In case of eyes contact with resins, rinse eyes immediately with plenty of water, and consult a specialist.
  3. Material and samples must be disposed according to local regulations.
  4. Dry polymers will expand when become wetted and may cause an exothermic reaction. Spilled materials on the floor can cause slippery conditions.
